Kids | Greencastle Church of the Nazarene

At Greencastle Church of the Nazarene, we love partnering with parents to help children build a strong, lasting foundation in Christ. Our CastleKidz ministry is centered on a culture of safety, joy, and biblical truth — where every child is known, valued, and encouraged to grow in their faith. On Sunday mornings, we begin worship together as families, and after our family altar time, children are dismissed to Children’s Church for engaging, age-appropriate lessons rooted in God’s Word.

We offer classes designed for specific age groups so kids can learn at their level and connect with others their age. Our trained and caring volunteers provide a secure, welcoming environment, and we take intentional steps to ensure safety and clear communication with parents.

On Wednesday nights, we offer two children’s classes as part of our midweek ministries for all ages. Families can sign in at the Welcome Center before classes begin, making check-in simple and easy. Our heart is to create a place where kids not only have fun, but truly come to know and follow Jesus.

Visiting CastleKidz for the first time? We’re so glad you’re coming! When you arrive, one of our friendly team members will greet your family and guide you to the appropriate check-in area. On Sundays, children begin worship with their families and are dismissed after family altar time to Children’s Church; on Wednesdays, families sign in at the Welcome Center before classes begin. We’ll help you get your child settled, introduce them to their teacher, and answer any questions you may have. Our goal is simple — to make your first visit smooth, safe, and filled with excitement for what God is going to do in your child’s life.

Your child’s safety is a top priority in our CastleKidz Ministry. We follow MinistrySafe protocols and policies, which provide structured guidelines for screening, training, and supervising volunteers. Our team members are carefully selected and serve according to established safety standards to ensure a secure and caring environment. We utilize clear check-in procedures and maintain appropriate supervision in every classroom and ministry space. Our goal is to provide a safe, well-monitored setting where children can grow in faith while parents have peace of mind.

In CastleKidz, everything we teach is rooted in the Bible and centered on helping children know, love, and follow Jesus. Our lessons are Scripture-based and presented in an engaging, age-appropriate way through storytelling, discussion, prayer, and interactive activities. We focus on helping kids understand who God is, what it means to trust Him, and how to live out their faith in everyday life. Each lesson is designed not just to share information, but to encourage transformation — building a strong foundation that supports families and reinforces what children are learning at home and in church.
