Story
Phillip James Diaz was born on January 22nd, 1981 in Lubbock, Texas. After being raised by his grandparents in Texas, Phil and his family moved to Washington, Indiana in 1989, where he would eventually discover his calling.
Ashley Renee Diaz was born on December 8th, 1984 in Bedford, Indiana. Her family lived in the Bedford area until her father's call to ministry at the Church of the Nazarene in Washington, Indiana in 1999.
It was at the Church of the Nazarene in Washington that Phil and Ashley first met while attending the youth group together. They started dating in 2003, and after several years of courtship, were married on April 5th, 2008.
In the years that followed, Phil and Ashley welcomed two children into the world. Their daughter, Lilly, was born on January 8th, 2013, followed by their son, Liam, on July 19th, 2016. As a family, they have remained steadfast in their faith and committed to serving their community.
In the summer of 2019, Phil was ordained as a minister in The Church Of The Nazarene, marking a pivotal moment in his journey of faith. With this newfound sense of purpose, he and his family accepted the call to serve as full-time ministers at the Greencastle Church Of The Nazarene.
For Phil and Ashley, this is an opportunity to share their faith with a wider community and to continue their work of building strong, supportive relationships with those around them. As they embark on this chapter in their lives, they do so with the same unwavering dedication to their faith that has guided them thus far.
Their shared commitment to ministry has been a guiding force in their lives, and they view it as a calling that they are honored to have received. They are humbled by the trust placed in them by the congregation at Greencastle and will work hard to fulfill their responsibilities to the best of their abilities.
As the pastoral family, Phil and Ashley understand the weight of their responsibilities and are committed to serving their congregation with compassion, empathy, and wisdom. Pastor Phil is dedicated to preaching the Word of God and both of them are leading their community with integrity and grace.
Despite the challenges that come with serving in ministry, Phil and Ashley remain resolute in their faith and committed to their calling. They understand the importance of balancing their work in the ministry with their personal lives and are dedicated to finding a healthy work-life balance that allows them to continue to serve with passion and purpose.
For them, this journey is about being obedient to the Lord's will and serving His higher purpose, and making a positive impact on the lives of those around them. They believe that their work in ministry is a calling, a chance to make a difference in the world, and to inspire others to live their lives with purpose and meaning.
